Artist's Statement
My main interest is the human figure, I like to work from life. I work in pastel and bronze for the most part. I also like to do plein air landscapes.
I have been drawing the human form for over 30 years... I try to paint nudes that have a beauty that lies in the individual's strength of character rather than the conventional insipid stereotypes. They are generally women who are comfortable with their nudity and posed in a relaxed composition. The paintings are restful to live with.
I belong to numerous artist's associations and show my work nationally as well as locally.
I love to draw.
